A self-taught photographer based in Paris, Kevin Larreguy shines a spotlight on the unseen in our society with a sympathetic (or empathetic) and authentic approach. Faithful to film photography, he explores the rich textures and raw authenticity that this medium has to offer. His style? Modern and vibrant, he has a keen sense of colour and contrast, influenced by his Basque and Spanish origins. Inspired by masters such as Diane Arbus, Helmut Newton and Wes Anderson, he composes timeless scenes in which women, often leading figures, take centre stage.
Committed to a sincere and uncompromising approach, Kevin favours projects that tell stories and arouse emotions. He is particularly interested in social issues that receive little media coverage, such as ecology and violence, and at the same time develops projects linked to Basque culture and sport. Through his images, he aims to trigger reactions, arouse emotions and give new visibility to his subjects, while asserting a cinematographic aesthetic marked by meticulous attention to composition and detail.
